A must-see for any cricket fan whether young or old, new to the game or a lifelong supporter! Come along and bask in the rich history of Yorkshire’s cricketing heritage.
We’re extremely proud of Yorkshire’s fine cricketing tradition and we’re sure you are too. What better way to celebrate our county’s sporting triumphs than through a visit to the Yorkshire Cricketing Museum!
Divided into nine zones, the museum takes you right back to the origins of the sport, guiding you on a journey through to modern day. Through the use of interactive displays, interesting facts and memorabilia you won’t find anywhere else, it is sure to capture your imagination and leave you thirsty for more.
Each domestic match day of the season our museum doors are thrown open to the public, and what’s better is that it’s FREE! We do ask for donations (suggested £3 each) which helps with the upkeep of the museum and ultimately goes towards improving your experience here with us.
Why not book a tour? we regularly organise tours of Headingley Cricket Ground
Send us a message or pop in and speak to one of our friendly staff members for more details.
The museum will be open at the following times during home YCCC match days:
County Championship games – gates open to start of play and then again at lunch
T20 – gates open to start of play
The Hundred – gates open to start of play
Test matches – gates open to start of play & lunch
One Day Internationals – gates open to start of play and at the lunch interval

Please do not send cheques or cash requesting previous match scorecards into the YCF offices as we are not able to facilitate this service and will not fulfil these requests, and any money sent will be returned.

In 2013 we acquired funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for a fabulous mobile museum!
The mobile cricket museum tours the county visiting schools, cricket clubs, community events and businesses educating people about the rich cricketing history in Yorkshire.
Those visiting the museum have the opportunity to see items of memorabilia, watch videos, take part in interactive quizzes and take on our stick cricket challenge.
Over the last few years the museum has been a regular fixture at the Scarborough Cricket Festival as well as the Great Yorkshire Show. We were also part of the Tour De France Grande Depart at York Racecourse.
As well as these fantastic events we have supported many club and school events, including the Yorkshire T20 warm up fixtures.
If you’re interested in booking the mobile museum please get in touch and tell us about your event.
